Terms and Conditions - Luxo Cabs

Luxo Cabs is a taxi company based in Melbourne, Australia. We offer a variety of taxi services, including airport transfers, city travel, and hourly charter. Our goal is to provide our customers with a safe, reliable, and comfortable taxi experience.

The following definitions used in the agreement provide clear and concise meanings of key terms:

Customer: Any person who uses Luxo Cabs’ taxi services
Booking: A reservation for a taxi ride. A booking can be made online or by phone.
Payment: The amount of money that a customer owes Luxo Cabs for a taxi ride.
Cancellations: The act of a customer terminating their booking. Can be made online or by phone.

By using our taxi services, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Customer Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid credit card to use our taxi services.

Bookings

• You can visit our website or call our customer service line.
• You must provide name, contact info, pickup/drop-off locations, and number of passengers.
• We will confirm your booking and give you an estimated fare.

Payments

We accept credit/debit cards and cash. A 5% service fee is applied to all card payments. The fare is due at the end of your ride.

Cancellations

• For all types of transportation except Special events: No fee if canceled more than 1 hour in advance.
• Within 12 hours of ride time: subject to cancellation fee.
• Fee is 50% of the estimated fare.

No-Shows

100% of the estimated fare is charged for no-shows.

Refunds

• For regular bookings: Refunds for cancellations more than 1 hour before ride.
• For special events:
  • Refunds for cancellations >12 hrs in advance.
  • Refunds for Luxo Cabs–cancelled rides.
  • Refunds to original form of payment.

Waiting Period

Drivers wait up to 15 mins at pickup. First 5 mins are free. Next 10 mins: $1/min. After 15 mins, driver may leave unless additional payment is agreed.

Damages

You are responsible for the cost of repair if you damage our taxis. Payment via card accepted.

General Conduct

• Respectful behavior toward drivers and passengers is expected.
• No eating, drinking, or smoking.
• No pets or flammable materials allowed.

Safety

All drivers are licensed and insured. Taxis are regularly maintained. Strict safety policy enforced.

Liability

We are not liable for personal items lost/damaged or for delays due to unforeseen circumstances.

Additional Charges

The following additional charges may apply to your taxi ride:

• Airport tolls
• Parking fees
• Night surcharge
• Waiting fee
• Extra luggage fee

We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer who violates these terms and conditions.
